Hi everyone! I hope you’re having a great May! I wanted to share my favorite Cherry Limeade recipe with you because it is a great drink for the summer months. It’s the perfect mixture of sweet, tart and bubbly, it’s refreshing, and best of all, it is super easy to make. And just in time for Derby, Mother’s Day and graduation parties!
I definitely recommend making a simple syrup instead of just throwing a cup of sugar in the pitcher. This way the sugar is dissolved and blends into the Cherry Limeade instead of just sinking to the bottom. To make it, just bring water to a boil and pour it over the sugar in a measuring cup. Stir it until it dissolves and then add it to the pitcher.
2 liter bottle of Sprite
10 oz. jar of Maraschino cherries
3/4 c. lime juice
1 c. heavy simple syrup (3/4 c. sugar dissolved in 1/4 c. water)
Pour the lime juice, simple syrup, and jar of cherries, including the juice, in the bottom of a pitcher.
Serve over ice.
