I know, I know. Valentine’s Day isn’t even 24 hours behind us and I’m talking about St. Patrick’s Day. The thing is, St. Patrick’s Day is only a month away and it’s a fun holiday to celebrate, whether you have Irish ancestry or not. It’s also a great time to recognize teachers (when is it not a good time?) and maybe replenish some desk supplies in a cute way. My child will find any excuse to give her teacher a gift. And putting together a special St. Patrick’s Day gift is fun and doesn’t have to be expensive!
All you need are green items and just about all of ours came from the $1 bins at Michael’s or the Dollar Tree. (The green bucket came from Hobby Lobby.) Here are the items we chose:
Green Sharpie markers
Green gum (Extra, Trident, Doublemint and Stride all have green packaging)
Green M&M minis
Green hand soap
Not only did the kiddos love finding all of the goodies to put in the bucket, but it was a great way to practice her colors too. What about you? Does your child love giving gifts?
