Happy October everyone! Last week, it was almost 90 and now we’re in the 50s. Unreal. What’s even crazier is how fast this month is flying by. I can’t even believe it. I’m a little late getting my Halloween decorations out this year, but they’re out now, and the kiddos love them.
If you’re not crazy about carving pumpkins, there are so many ways to create a cool pumpkin without a knife. And they’re easy too!
For funsies, I tried something a little different this time. The secret to this pumpkin–lace tights. Seriously! Here’s what you need:
Needle and thread
Cut the legs off of the tights.
Place the foot of one of the legs on the bottom of the pumpkin and stretch the tights over the pumpkin.
Sew all the way around the edge of the stem. Pull the thread tight and tie it off. Cut off the excess fabric or tuck it in where it doesn’t show.
Tie a ribbon to the stem. If the stem is short like this one, use a little bit of tacky glue to secure it.
Easy Peasy! For more great Halloween ideas, check out the Holiday and Seasonal Crafts page.
