Remember what my porch looked like when I first got started? Even with the pretty blue rocking chairs, it was pretty bare and boring.
It’s come a long way and I’m so excited to share with you my new fall porch!
You know I love my porch (see here and here). The porch has become an extension of our living room–we are always on it, so I like to change the decor every season. This year I wanted it to be super cozy with rustic touches, pops of orange, and lots of mums. What can I say, it turned out exactly the way I wanted. Let me show you around! (A list of sources is at the bottom of the post).
A few things stayed the same–the rocking chairs, the rug, and the table. But instead of using the vintage ladder like before, I put the baker’s rack on the porch that I redid a few months ago. Perfect choice in my opinion–it gives me more room for decorations!
My splurge for this was this Pottery Barn throw. A good friend of mine had one and I got hooked on it. It is so thick and soft…a little spendy but MAN is it cozy. I’m sure we’ll have it for years to come.
Mums are just a fall staple, aren’t they? When I see my neighbors’ mums out, I know it’s fall. It’s always good to add some greenery to a space anyway, so this was a great addition to the fall decor.
Dried lavender makes me so happy. I have it in my living room and now on my porch. It just smells. so. good. The glass bottle came from a vintage store up the road called Anything Goes. I bought a whole box of them for $5.00. Crazy!
Well, what do you think? Do you decorate for house or porch for fall? Let me know in the comments!
