There’s this amazing store a few miles from my house called Anything Goes and let me tell you, it’s a junkin’ paradise. There’s old furniture, building supplies, old dishes, decorations, knick-knacks…you name it. It’s a vintage treasure trove and I always find something there I can re-purpose.
Anyway, so this baker’s rack was outside and had definitely seen better days. It was dirty, rusted and a little bent but I saw a lot of potential. I wanted one for the front porch and for $15, I couldn’t pass it up!
I wiped off the dirt and scrubbed the rust off with a steel wool pad. Once that was done, I started painting! I used Rustoleum Metallic Paint and Primer in One spray paint in Oil Rubbed Bronze. It took all of 3 bottles to cover the whole thing. The result…I LOVE it. Check it out:
