Who doesn’t love a simple, sparkly craft for Valentine’s Day! With it being so dreary and gross outside, I like having some glittery things around to liven things up a little in the winter. The cool thing about decorations like this is that they can be displayed in so many ways. I put mine on the bar top between the kitchen and dining nook but they also look great on bookshelves and even above the kitchen cabinets. Here’s what you need:
8 in. wood craft letters (Michaels)
Red and black acrylic craft paint (or spray paint)
Red and black glitter
Mod Podge or Tacky glue
Paint the letters with spray paint or craft paint and let them dry. (I used Krylon Gloss spray paint in red and black).
When the paint dries, coat the front of the letters with Mod Podge or tacky glue with a paint brush. Pour the glitter over the glue until the letters are completely covered.
Shake off the excess and let the glue harden. When it’s dry, your XOXO letters are ready to display!
