I’ve been wanting to do specimen art for so long now and I’m glad that Valentine’s Day finally gave me a reason! I’m having so much fun doing my decorations in black and gold this year and I’m glad to see that gold is making a comeback.
So…ready to make your Valentine’s Day Specimen Art? Here’s what you need:
8 x 10 canvas
Rust-Oleum Satin Spray Paint in Black
4 -12 x 12 sheets of gold scrapbook paper, different patterns
Heart paper punch (Michaels)
Spray paint the entire canvas black and let it dry overnight.
Using the paper punch, punch out 6 hearts in each pattern.
Glue the hearts to the canvas, making 6 rows of 4 hearts. The border hearts were 1 1/4″ from the edge and the hearts were spaced 1 3/4″ apart.
Let the glue dry, and your specimen art is ready!
