Did you make Corn Flake Wreaths when you were a kid? I did and to this day I still LOVE them. My family teases me about my wreaths being ‘Grinch’ green. But everytime I make them darker, I can taste the food coloring and I don’t like that. So mine are light. But if you like yours darker, go for it! Here’s what you need:
3 Tbsp. butter or margarine
1-10 oz. bag of mini marshmallows
5 cups of Corn Flakes cereal
Green food coloring
Red Hots candy
In a large saucepan, melt butter over low heat. When butter is melted, add marshmallows, stirring frequently.
When marshmallows have melted, stir in the food coloring. (I used about 7 drops to make the light green color).
Once the green is blended well, remove from heat and stir in Corn Flakes.
Form into wreaths and add Red Hots. (Makes about 10-12).
Let the wreaths cool on wax paper and then serve!
