One of the best things about January are all the great deals I get on winter decorations. Problem is, everyone has already moved on to Valentine’s Day so I don’t really get to use them. Until this year! This year I found a way to incorporate my winter deals into my Valentine’s Day decorations. Besides, February is still very much winter time here. All of my supplies are from Michaels; here’s what you need:
2″ x 15 3/4″ styrofoam wreath
Artificial winter greenery
Sequin heart ornament
1 1/2″ ribbon
2 rolls of burlap garland (20 ft.)
Wrap the wreath with burlap garland, securing with floral pins as you go. (You’ll have to pull and tug on the burlap to make it lay flat in the front. The back will not be pretty like the front.)
Trim the ends of the greenery so that it will fit the wreath.
On one side of the wreath, place one bunch of the greenery facing up.
Place the other bunch of greenery facing down. Glue them both to the wreath.
Glue the heart in the center, where the two bunches of greenery meet.
Attach the ribbon and hang!
