Fall decorations are so much fun to make, aren’t they? This one happened kind of accidentally–I was trying to find something to fit our long table and came up with this idea. The supplies are simple and easy to find which I like and everyone who comes to my house loves this decoration. Here’s what you need:
4-4 x 6 picture frames (with glass)
Valspar La Fonda Copper Satin Spray Paint
Valspar Antiquing Glaze in Asphaltum
Satin Mod Podge
Fall themed scrapbooking paper, cut to the size of the frames
Spray paint the frames and letters. (I used 2 coats.)
When spray paint dries, antique the frames and letters by first sanding the high points and then going over the high and low points and corners with Valspar antiquing glaze. (Here’s my tutorial on how to use antiquing glaze.) Set aside to dry.
Apply Satin Modge Podge to the glass of each frame and attach the pre-cut scrapbooking paper to it.
Coat the top of the paper with Mod Podge.
When the Mod Podge dries, attach letters using Tacky Glue.
After the glue dries, place letters into the frames and it’s ready to display!
