I was getting really tired of the blank wall between my kitchen and dining room. With Halloween right around the corner, I thought now would be a good time to get crafty and make some cute wall art to go there. So I pulled out a few materials, started playing, and came up with this 3D Boo sign. It’s amazing what you can do with a couple of frames and some wooden letters, isn’t it?
5×7 or 4×6 frame
burlap (scrapbooking sheet)
Mod Podge (any finish)
For frames and letters:
Valspar La Fonda Orange satin spray paint
Valspar Antiquing Glaze in Asphaltum (I used this on the orange frame. To find out how to antique a frame, click here).
Rustoleum Black satin spray paint
Spray paint frames and letters and let dry.
Trim edges of burlap to fit and put back in the 8×10 frame.
Apply hot glue to the back of the small frame.
